Old Warrior
When you hate someone, he is
controlling your mind without even trying.

Hate allows others to control your mind. Confucius taught that if you hate a person, then you are defeated by him. But the truth of the matter is that if you allow your anger towards someone to turn to hate, you are not defeated by that person; you are defeated by your own lack of self-control and your refusal to forgive that person for his wrongdoings. It is you who is refusing to take control of your emotions; you have defeated yourself.

When you hate someone, he is controlling your mind without even trying. That hate will eat you up inside, while the person you hate is enjoying life and not giving you a second thought. You are giving him free rent in your mind and allowing him to continue to hurt you and to get the best of you without even trying. This is unwise anyway you look at it!
